So Ashamed!

So much as happened and is still happening in the last year.

First having found one part-time job which I have had for over a year now, I am now about to start a second one next week!

It has been quite a journey finding new employment and I have learnt a lot about a range of organisations and met a lot of interesting people along the way.

On top of that I've returned to studying. Again an experience in itself after not having been a student since 1999. But I am starting to fulfil my ambition to learn a lot more about the wildlife around me. So far I've covered land mammals, ladybirds and shield bugs, leafhoppers and reptiles and amphibians. As well as the theory around biological recording.

It's so much fun and I always come away excited to start recording a new species! Well leafhoppers may be the exception to that, but the less said about that the better!

Just reading a great blog post at http://procrastinatingwritersblog.com/2010/09/two-reasons-to-update-your-writing-goals-on-your-birthday/

I know I have missed my birthday for setting these goals for this year and perhaps mine could have additional items to writing, definately worth considering though.

New Year resolutions do tend be something that is said at the time and then quickly forgotten in the first month!

My first post on my brand new website - how exciting! Amazing how exciting filling out web pages is.

I am a glutton for punishment though as I'm trying to do two sites at once! This one and my nature one at http://naturediscovering.weebly.com/
